Dressing in Dresses

I love dresses. I even love dresses in the freezing cold weather of January. Even when it means wearing tights, long socks, and boots all at the same time.

Today, I went with a mustard yellow dress that I got from Target. I literally have no clue what the pattern is called, but I think it's really cute. This is one of my favorite and most versatile dresses. You can pair it with so many things and it works well with or without tights. Over top, I wore a blue cardigan that I picked up at a local resale shop called Pink Pin-Up. Lately, I've been obsessed with raiding consignment shops and thrift stores for new clothes. You have to take time to thrift shop, but it's totally worth it. So many key pieces in my wardrobe come from thrift stores.

Due to temperature, I made sure to pair this dress with fairly thick black tights. This winter, I have been wearing black tights at least three times a week. But of course, tights aren't enough. I wore a pair of beige over-the-knee socks my best friend got me at Aeropostale, and bunched them up so they came below my knee. I wore short black boots from yet another consignment shop, Plato's Closet.

One of my favorite parts of my outfit, though, is something I wear everyday. My handmade black bracelet comes from the Pulsera Project, which helps give jobs to people in poverty in Nicaragua and other Central American countries. Not to mention, someone very special to me wears a matching one.

Finally, my brother and I accidentally wore matching colors, so I just HAD to make him take a picture with me! Thank you so much for reading my post, have a fantastic day!
