Letter from the Editor: Christmastime is Here

Ah, the holidays are among us! Thanksgiving has come and gone, and now it's Christmastime! This is one of my favorite times of the year.

For me, it means family, yummy food, and wonderful decorations spread throughout the house! When writing last month's edition of Letter from the Editor, I talked about how fast the year has gone. (I feel like I just wrote that post, so I know how fast November went!)

I also challenged you all to find things every day - little or big things - that you were thankful for! I hope you guys thought of a lot, because there is always something to be thankful for, even if it's just heat on a cold day.

But, with December, I want us to look in a different direction. (Although, we should never stop being thankful.)

In the midst of the Christmas holiday where we spend our time buying gifts, wrapping gifts, getting together with family, making food, etc, I want us to think about taking a step back. Never forget to breathe.

If I'm being honest, I'll say I haven't even put a small dent in my Christmas shopping this year, and it's stressing me out. (I am worst at taking my own advice.)

December is one of the busiest months of the year. There's always something to do. But this December, I urge you to breathe throughout the month. Don't let it stress you out like it has in past years, because Christmas isn't just about making sure you have the exact right present for your family or friends. It's about being with family and friends, and people you love.

With all my love this Christmas season,
