Dressed to Love: Christmas Edition

Merry Christmas, my beauties! The elegant and glamorous Broadmoor hotel was the backdrop for my Christmas shoot. I hopped onto the faux leather pants trend this week and topped it off with a deep burgundy off-shoulder sweater and faux suede heeled boots.

I did a little more with makeup than I usually do. It’s one of my favorite things, and as someone who will be going to school to study aesthetics next year, I love getting practice in.

The ring was a gift from a friend back in high school and the earrings I got from my roommate.

I absolutely love this time of year, looking at the lights and dressing up for parties and decorating the apartment are amongst my favorite things. But it wasn’t until this year that I fully realized how much I absolutely adore giving gifts. I’ve been pestering my boyfriend for almost a week to let me give him his early. He has refused to oblige. But luckily for me, my roommate did. We gave each other our gifts a few days ago.

I think more than anything I love seeing the looks of joy on people’s faces when they see that you put thought into finding something especially for them. It’s cute that we have one day a year that’s designed around just loving on those who are close to you and seeking out things that you can give them to make them happy.

I know for a lot of you, this time of year can be very hard for a variety of reasons. But if it offers any consolation at all, you are so exceedingly beautiful and I care for you deeply. I may never have even met you. But the same still rings true. Dressed to Love would be nothing if not for those of you who read the words I have to say. You have all been so encouraging throughout this journey and from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for it. You are powerful, you are favored, you are courageous, you are loved. Dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable or fashionable (or both) and have yourself a merry little Christmas.

I am so very thankful for you.
